At Mayan Monkey in Mijas Pueblo, we make these books in-house at our chocolate factory. Each one is personalised — the child's name woven into the narrative, and a character customised with their hair colour, skin tone, and whether they wear glasses. The book is printed, bound, and handed to your child as part of their workshop experience.

How It Works

When you book a Superhero's Chocolate Adventure or Mayas and Messy Monkeys experience, you give us your child's details — name, appearance, and a few personal touches. Before the workshop begins, our team creates the book right here in the factory. By the time your child sits down to start making chocolate, their storybook is ready and waiting.

The book isn't a thin pamphlet or a printed sheet. It's a proper storybook — full colour, illustrated pages, with a narrative that takes your child on a journey through the world of chocolate. They discover where cacao comes from, meet characters along the way, and ultimately become the hero who saves the chocolate factory.

The Superhero's Chocolate Adventure (€89.95 adult / €109.95 child)

Your child is cast as a superhero on a mission. The personalised storybook sets up the adventure, and then it comes to life in the workshop:

• Science experiments: What happens when you heat cacao to different temperatures? Why does chocolate snap? Children discover the science behind their favourite sweet through hands-on experiments.
• Treasure hunt: Clues hidden around the factory lead your child on a quest — past the tempering machines, through the moulding room, and to a final reward. Each clue teaches them something about how chocolate is made.
• Chocolate making: Layered chocolate masterpieces created by your child — not just sprinkled toppings, but proper techniques with real chocolate.
• The storybook: A personalised keepsake they'll read again and again at home.
