A Birthday They'll Never Forget
Forget the usual soft-play centre or fast-food party. At Mayan Monkey Mijas, birthday boys and girls (and their friends!) get a genuine hands-on chocolate-making experience inside a real working chocolate factory. It's messy, it's creative, and it's absolutely delicious.
Our birthday workshops are suitable for children aged 4 and up, as well as teenagers and adults who fancy something a bit different. Every guest leaves with chocolate they made themselves — the ultimate party favour.
What's Included
Chocolate Making
Each child gets to temper real chocolate and create their own bars, lollipops, or filled chocolates using our professional moulds and toppings.
Decorate & Design
Pipe melted chocolate, add sprinkles, dried fruits, and edible decorations. Every creation is unique — just like the birthday star.
Take It Home
All chocolates are packaged in our signature boxes for guests to take home. No cheap party bags needed — these are the real deal.
Hot Chocolate & Cake
Everyone enjoys a cup of our famous thick hot chocolate, plus birthday cake (freshly baked in our kitchen, with gluten-free options available).
How It Works
Party Format
- Duration: approximately 90 minutes
- Group size: 6–20 children (smaller or larger groups, just ask)
- Ages: 4+ (younger siblings welcome to watch and nibble!)
- Languages: we can run parties in English, Spanish, or a mix
- Dietary needs: gluten-free and dairy-free options available — just let us know in advance
- Parking: the multi-storey car park in Mijas Pueblo is just 2 minutes' walk away (€1/day)
Why Parents Love It
Parents tell us our birthday parties are the easiest they've ever organised. You don't need to bring decorations, entertainment, or party bags. We handle everything — the activity, the treats, the cleanup. All you need to bring is the children and a birthday candle.
Our factory is located in the main square of Mijas Pueblo (Plaza Virgen de la Peña), so there's plenty of space for parents to relax at a nearby café while the kids are busy making chocolate, or to join in themselves.
Adult Birthday Parties Too
Who says chocolate parties are just for kids? We also host adult birthday celebrations that can include wine and chocolate pairing, truffle-making, and a behind-the-scenes factory tour. It's a unique experience that beats dinner at a restaurant — and everyone goes home with handmade chocolates.
Pricing & Booking
Every party is a little different, so we provide a personalised quote based on your group size and what you'd like to include. As a guide, most children's parties start from around €15 per child (minimum 6 children).
